Piers Park, East Boston
Piers Park is a pristine park located in East Boston. The park, which is home to the Piers Park Sailing Center, flaunts well maintained green lawns, clean facilities for families, and some of the best views of Boston Harbor and the Boston skyline. Only a ten-minute walk from Maverick station, Piers Park is one of Boston’s hidden gems.
Fan Pier, South Boston Waterfront
The portion of the Harborwalk that stretches along Fan Pier in the Seaport district holds astonishing views of Downtown Boston. Because the Seaport is just a short walk away from Downtown, the view of the city is close and large, making it a great spot for photography – especially for those whose cameras don’t have strong zoom abilities. The cobblestone path along the water is lined with the sleek architecture of the John Joseph Moakley U.S. Courthouse, waterfall structures, and a beautiful wooden pavilion that serves as a wonderful place to relax if you’d rather not lie in the grass.
Observation Deck at Independence Wharf, Fort Point Channel
The deck on the 14th floor of the Independence Wharf provides a different perspective of the city. On one side, you are surrounded by tall buildings, while the other side overlooks the waters and inlets of Boston Harbor into the seaport. The deck is open daily between 10 and 5, and don’t forget to bring an ID to flash at the front desk!
Christopher Columbus Park, North End
Christopher Columbus is a beautiful park located in North End. The park is popular for its central location that has harbor views on one side and city views on the other. A photogenic long arch that is covered in vibrant green vines in the summer and Christmas lights in the winter is the hallmark of the park.
Boston Harbor Hotel Patio, Wharf District
The waterfront side of the Boston Harbor Hotel, located directly on the Harborwalk, is a lovely spot to relax and take in the views. The hotel is located directly on the harbor in the popular downtown district. Enjoy the public seating offered along the Harborwalk during a summer day or evening. The patio is especially lovely when there is live music from the stage elevated directly out of the water.
